Music of the Mind
‘Music of the Mind’ is my most recent performance piece. It combines improvisation, spoken word, images and text, and is written specifically for ‘Zoom' audiences.
For the duration of the piece, I invite the audience to be receptive to what is going on internally; how it is important not to base experience on preconceptions, and to remain receptive to new perceptions. I speak about how sounds are experienced inside ourselves; being aware of the music of our minds takes us to unknown places.
During the presentation I make some links to historical events, current social events and also to the natural world.
The presentation works best with time after the performance for free associative group discussion.
